Welcome to Current Events! 

We will focus on world and local issues that affect your everyday lives, such as economics, government, and conflict. You will learn how to read and analyze newspapers, online media, cartoons, and newscasts to participate in class discussions and develop critical thinking skills. You will have the opportunity to participate in group projects, presentations, and work with primary source materials and opinion pieces in order to develop a comprehensive understanding of current events.

If you need extra help after school, I am available on Mondays until 3:45 pm. Please be sure to make arrangements with me in advance if you need to stay, so I can plan accordingly. Thank you!
