About me!

Hello! My name is Kayleigh Cohen. I am one of the 6th Grade ELA Teachers at Newberry Middle School. This will be my first year teaching and I am so excited to be here. 

I graduated from the College of Charleston with a major in Education and a minor in English. 

English is one of my many passions, so I am so glad that I will be teaching my students about it and hopefully spark and grow their joy for it just like mine.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family: my two sisters, grandmother, and three dogs, my boyfriend, and my close friends. I also love reading, writing, and listening to music.

I have wanted to be a teacher from a very young age, so I am very excited that I am starting my journey here and will be able to not only educate my students, but to get to know them and extend my passion for English, literature, and knowledge!
