Hello, my name is Anita Basnight. I'm the Read 180/ELA Enrichment teacher at Newberry Middle School and have taught here for 10 years. I've also taught 6th grade ELA and Social Studies.

With 28 years in the Newberry County School District, I graduated from Whitmire High, USC-Union, Limestone College, and Grand Canyon University, earning a Master's in Elementary Education.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family and reading both fiction and nonfiction books.

I look forward to having a successful year of reading and learning.
