Hall Of Fame

The Ladysmith Athletic Hall of Fame exists to honor and celebrate the achievements of our athletes, coaches, and community members who have made a lasting impact on Lumberjack athletics. Its purpose is to preserve these accomplishments and proudly display them for future generations, strengthening the tradition and excellence that define Ladysmith athletics.

The idea for an Athletic Hall of Fame began nearly two years ago. As organizer Mr. Yudes explained, “We really felt that in the first two years we wanted to focus on our older population and alumni — to recognize those folks and start it off that way.” The goal was to reconnect past athletes and contributors with today’s school community and highlight the time, energy, and dedication they invested in Ladysmith athletics.

Ladysmith Elementary Principal Troy Gago described the research process as a true “history lesson,” uncovering impressive accomplishments and stories that had been tucked away over the years. “There’s some really impressive things that have been done here historically that we didn’t even realize until we started pulling up names and background information,” Gago said.

Yudes emphasized that the Hall of Fame fills an important need: “We have a rich history in athletics, and it’s something we want to start recognizing folks for.”

Nominate Someone for the Hall of Fame

We invite our community to help us recognize outstanding Lumberjack athletes, coaches, and contributors. If you would like to nominate someone, simply complete the nomination form so we have all the required background information and supporting details. Once submitted, the Hall of Fame committee will review all nominations and select inductees.
