Creating and maintaining a relationship with community business partners is promoted by listening to the needs and concerns of employers in our area. Working collaboratively with area school districts, we survey area businesses and host a listening session where they can share how workers ages 16-25 are meeting the challenges of the workforce.
The results of the 2017 survey indicated employees in this age group are strong in technology and math, and weaker in dependability and customer service interaction. This information is used to guide student career preparation.
To the left, are results of the 2017 survey. Employer responses were from Northern Chippewa, Rusk, and Sawyer Counties.
