Landlord and Tenant Law  

2023 to 2024 I called for  leadership and legislators at the local and state level to provide greater protections for tenants in  

the great State of Georgia's Code Title 44 Chapter 7:

** July 31, 2023 – Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners amended the County’s ordinances to strengthen enforcement on residential rental properties by adopting the International Property Maintenance Code.

**July 1, 2024 -Georgia House Bill 404, known as the "Safe at Home Act," a bipartisan renter-protection law that established statewide habitability standards and limited fees

Civic Engagement at Local & State Level   

**Appointed by county commissioners to represent District Four (6-Year Appointment) – Gwinnett County .                                                                                                                                **Chairperson, Gwinnett County Transportation Citizens Project Selection Committee,  overseeing $500M SPLOST Fund 

**Coordinated advocacy campaign to register 1,200+ first-time voters for state legislative elections.

Recidivism Advocacy in Probation

Work directly within local court systems, emphasizing front-end rehabilitation, individualized resource allocation, and the prevention of technical violations. 

Academia, Post-Secondary Education, Colleges and Universities

Education Performance Metrics & Workforce Stability, Student Outcomes, Teacher Recruitment and Retention and Higher Education Funding.
