Website Orientation

Hello! Welcome to our website orientation. Before you start this course, take a moment to familiarize yourself with our website. You may re-visit this page at any time during the course, or contact your instructor with any questions you may have. 

This page demonstrates how to navigate our site. Please read and watch each section. THE VIDEOS BELOW DO NOT CONTAIN SOUND, THEY ARE ONLY A VISUAL REPRESENTATION. There are written instructions that accompany each video.

Within the weekly lessons will be Youtube videos, quizzes and links. 

There is a menu bar at the top of the website that lists Home, Website Orientation, Weekly Lessons, and Discussion. 

At the top of the website on the left side of the menu bar is the Home button. Click on this when you wish to return to the home page. On the home page is class info, a link to the orientation and instructor contact info. 

You may wish to save our website link on your computer so you can always access it. Our website address is: Sites.google.com/sdceonline.com/bd-fall-prevention/home . 

There are multiple ways to get to this page. You received an email from your instructor on the first week with a link to the website orientation. Alternatively, there is a link on the home page that you can click on to be directed here. Finally, when you hover your mouse over the home page button at the top of the website, a drop down will appear that says Website Orientation. Click this to be taken to this page. 

Press play (circle with triangle in middle) on the video below to see how to access the Website Orientation from the drop down menu. 

When you hover your mouse over the Weekly Topics, a drop-down list will appear. Here is where you will find the list of each weekly topic. Each week, a new topic will appear.

Your instructor will send out an email each week with a review of the previous lesson and the title of the lesson that will be covered that week. There will be a link to the lesson included in each email.

The Discussion page is at the top of the website to the right of Weekly Topics. Simply click on "Discussion" to be taken to the page. Once there, you will see the discussion board. At the end of each lesson, please leave comments or questions you may have on this board by clicking the pink plus button on the bottom right corner. Alternatively, there will be a link to the discussion board at the end of each lesson which will take you directly to the page.
