Class/School Rules

1. Show Respect

• Respect me as your teacher.

• Respect each other.

2. Show Honesty

• Always tell the truth.

• No cheating. Plagiarism is a serious offense. First offense is a redo on the assignment with reduced grade. Second offense, or any large project, result is a "0."

3. Show Responsibility

• BE IN CLASS. If you are late to class by 15 minutes or more you are absent (and/or truant). More than 8 absences in a class results in loss of credit for that class.

• BE ON TIME. Tardies are counted as soon as the bell rings. Excessive tardies will result in lunch detention, Saturday School, or suspension.

4. Show Effort

• Try your best each day.

• No passes to hallway unless it is an emergency.

• BE DRESSED APPROPRIATELY

  • No clothing styles or possessions that refer to drugs, tobacco, alcohol, gangs, illegal activities, bad language, racism, or sexual immorality

  • Shorts/skirts must be mid-thigh length or longer

  • No revealing shirts/dresses

• No public displays of affection (PDA) except for holding hands

Classroom Routines

• Grading procedures/scales:

  • Tests/quizzes/projects are worth 75% of your overall grade.

  • Homework is worth 25% of your overall grade.

  • Late homework will receive a 50% deduction off your final score.

• Daily routines to be followed:

  • As soon as you enter class do the following: sharpen your pencil, turn in any late/make-up work, get your assigned calculator, be seated, and quietly do the warm-up posted on the screen.

  • Hall passes are required anytime leaving the classroom after the bell rings.

  • Please raise your hand and ask permission to get out of your seat.

  • If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get the make-up assignments.

  • You may do quiz retakes (NOT TESTS) during Primetime.

  • Cell phones are only allowed when I say so. Cell phone use without permission may result in detention, Saturday school, or suspension.
