7th grade

Spanish in 7th and 8th grade is equivalent to Spanish 1 in high school and it is taught for the entire year. The skills of speaking, reading, writing, and listening are emphasized as well as the opportunity to explore the cultures of various countries. The program maintains high expectations while providing support to students.

Objectives: The main objective in Spanish is to develop, reinforce, and refine communicative competency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Cultural competence will also ve developed and explored.

Goals: learn new vocabulary, build familiarity with grammar, gain confidence in Spanish, interpret written Spanish
