My name is Michael Woods (far left in the picture) and this is my 8th year teaching Math. I was born and raised in Chicago. I went to high school at Nazareth Academy and I went to college at Marquette University where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics. Through the University of Kentucky, I attained my Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership in 2023.

In addition to my love of math, I greatly enjoy spending time with my family and friends as often as possible. 

"Try your best." I think about this quote often because this was something I was taught at a young age. I want students to know that trying their best is what matters most. I also want students to know that I will always help them on their path to success.  

I am looking forward to a wonderful year at Westchester Middle School!
