My role as a classroom music teacher is to teach your children how to use ad interpret sound in meaningful ways.  We as adults expect that our children be able to communicate verbally as well as non-verbally, sound being a major component of both, yet we really have no class that focuses on the use and interpretation of sound, save the music class.

With that in mind, we will be exploring the various ways of producing, using, ad analyzing sound in it's many different representations in our lives.  Music is the obvious biggie along with talking, but there are many other ways we produce and use sound in our everyday lives.
