Hello! My name is Mr. Pinkelman, and I am teaching 5th grade at WIS. As the year goes on, students will get to know me better but I wanted to give you a small introduction. I have been teaching at WIS for four years in the 4th grade. This will be my first year here teaching 5th grade.
Right next door is a picture of my family from a trip we took this summer. My students last year actually helped me plan this trip during our virtual learning in May. My wife's name is Mrs. Pinkelman and my kids names are: Maeve, Kevin and Mary Kate. We are at an amazing national monument called Devil's Tower in Wyoming. Ask me about it sometime and I will tell you the mythology behind it.
Other stuff that's kind of cool maybe:
I like to read books although I fell behind this summer.
I love to write poetry and free verse ideas.
I love the outdoors - especially camping, hiking and anything on the water.
I once jumped out of an airplane and went sky-diving.
I have had three dogs - Finnegan, Tippy and Bucky. Bucky is our current dog. He is cute.
I like to get out and run and bike for exercise.
I like to take pictures and below you fill find three more pictures - one of them is of Bucky (and another friend you might recognize). See if you can figure out which one.
Hint: The other is of two members of a family of elk that wandered into our campsite.
