My name is Jose Navarrete-Cooper and I have had the opportunity of working at both Kennedy Elementary and Lincoln Middle School. This year I have the privilege of teaching at Washington Elementary as one of the resource teachers. I look forward to getting to know everyone and I’d like to take this time to share a few things about myself. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University and received my Bachelors in Special Education (LBS1) in December of 2024. I am one of five siblings: Miguel, Jalen, Beto, and one beautiful dog named Aegon. My family also includes my mom - Eva, my dad - Leonard, and my grandma - Maria. They consider themselves to be huge sports fans. I, on the other hand, find myself more geared towards movies, books, and music. I’m a fan of mystery stories, puzzles, and anything that allows the mind to imagine and wander.

There is so much I’m looking forward to during my time at Washington Elementary School. I have a strong passion for teaching and I'm ready to share the joy of learning. We will definitely have fun opportunities to learn and grow together.
