Fitness Based Curriculum
Core/Cardio
Resistance Training
Team Sports; lacrosse, flag football, australian rules football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, team handball, floor hockey, and ultimate frisbee.
Fitness Testing; pacer, mile, sit and reach, modified pull ups, sit ups and push ups
Health Units include; areas of wellness, growth and development, nutrition, drugs and alcohol, health promotion and Illness prevention, essential skills to avoid dangerous situations.
Important Reminders!
Uniforms should be coming home weekly
Each student will receive a heart rate bands
Deodorant should be used daily
Wellness Uniforms and heart rate bands will be stored in their PE lockers
OH1 Bands
Bluetooth smart heart sensor accurately and consistently captures heart rate, while students are in PE.
Five Heart rate zones; range between 50% and 100% of your maximum heart rate. Each zone is a percentage of your maximum heart rate and corresponds to a certain training intensity and training benefit.
