#MHSaysThankYou
For the past 10 months we have all been affected by COVID-19 in some way and have experienced things that we never anticipated. But, in spite of the great risk to themselves and their families, those who are in essential services (which includes but not limited to: first responders, health care workers, critical infrastructure workers, hydro and natural gas, and workers supplying food and medicine), continue to do the front line work in order to preserve life, health, and basic societal functioning. To show our appreciation and to start off the New Year, we would like to conduct a city-wide event conveying our gratitude to all essential service workers for their tremendous and heroic work throughout this pandemic. Hat High’s Interact Club would greatly appreciate your participation.
Items Required:
Paper/Poster Material.
Pens, Markers, Pencil Crayons, etc.
Arts and Craft Supplies (Sticker, glitter, etc) of your choice!
Tape (if needed).
Instructions:
On your poster paper write a big “THANK YOU!” The thank you should be the centre of attention on your poster. Under your “Thank You” you may choose to dedicate your card to a specific group of people, such as “Healthcare Workers, Farmers, Transit”. Or you may choose to generalize your thank you by writing “Essential Workers”. At the bottom of your poster please write our hashtag: #MHSaysThankYou; this will help people find out what our project is about! Once you have written the three things (Thank You, Field of Service, and the Hashtag), you can add fun drawings and side notes on your poster. Once you have completed your poster, hang it up on a window of your house that is visible for others to see. When you are done take a picture of your poster, and post it using the #MHSaysThankYou hashtag.
Pro Tips!
We recommend using dark colours, this will make it visible on bright days.
Tag @MHHSinteractclub in your post so we can further spread the word and positivity.
Use tape or an adhesive to stick your poster to your window, if necessary.
Take and post a picture of your poster on your window!
This is a great opportunity for all of us as a community to come together and thank those who keep our city going! If you would like to participate or have any questions, please contact us at mhhsrotaryinteract@gmail.com
