PURPOSE OF OPTIMAL LEARNING COACHES

To build capacity by working with teachers to increase student achievement through implementation of effective research based practices and ultimately offer support for the Optimal Learning Environment. 

ROLE OF OPTIMAL LEARNING COACHES

OLCs work as part of a division team to provide system-level, school-level and individualized teacher support in order to build capacity in the areas of instruction, curriculum, assessment and inclusive learning. Our coaching model emphasizes teacher-led goals, and collaborative partnerships through coaching cycles to help reach those goals.
