The Medicine Hat Public School Division is located within the boundaries of the city of Medicine Hat. Our schools serve the needs of students and their families from a range of socio-economic and cultural/ethnic backgrounds.
The Medicine Hat Public School Division came into existence in 1886 and has grown to serve our current enrolment of over 7,000 students. Our Division offers a full spectrum of programs and services centered on students’ needs with sensitivity to community and parents’ needs. Our wide range of programs service children from 2½ years of age to Grade 12. The Division is comprised of three high schools, three middle schools (including one with a Christian Education focus), 11 elementary schools, and a variety of Outreach Programs.
