"Sports have been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember, in my youth I tried to get involved in as many sports as possible. Over the past ten years I have found more of a passion in training for sport. I spend the majority of my time at the gym or in my garage gym working out, and training for marathons with my wife and dog.
Throughout university and in my career as a teacher I have had a focus on mental and physical health and wellness. I took multiple classes and completed an independent study that contrasted mental health, screen time, and physical activity. With today's more sedentary society and rise in mental health issues, it is so important to encourage a physically active and healthy lifestyle in our youth. I am excited to help these young athletes learn and develop skills to improve their health and fitness!"
