Our goal is to collect quality, high interest multicultural literature in a core set of diverse languages for local middle schools. 

The improved multilingual collection would lead to a better sense of belonging for our diverse readers and create more opportunities for authentic inclusion and cultural celebration. Additionally, research shows that supporting literacy in our students’ home languages helps to create a better foundation for learning additional languages. This initiative will have a positive impact on both social emotional wellness and academic growth. Students will also benefit from the chance to build community with their peers from other schools.
