In 8th grade social studies we will be learning about early world history. We will start at the beginning with the early humans, then learn about the Ancient Civilization, then move on to the Middle Ages, and end with the organization and power structures of the Modern Age. Throughout this year, we will be trying to answer the essential question, "Why is our world and society the way it is?"

We will be using Google Classroom for assignment and other important information.
We will be using HMH Ancient Civilization as our textbook. Students have access to physical textbook during class, and access to the online textbook whenever. To access the online textbook: 1. go to sd735.org 2. Hover over students and staff, and click on student links 3. Click on HMH Middle School Social Studies 4. Then use your full student email as your username and your school password as the password 6. Click on discover at the top of the page and click on module we are on.
