Post Secondary Info

Applications generally open Oct 1st but deadlines vary from institution to institution. It is up to you to keep track of deadlines.

Helpful Tips:

Don't leave applying to the last minute, as technical issues can occur
Check your emails regularly and read them carefully
keep a Google Doc that contains all the important info for each institution you apply to which includes:
- - your student number for that school
  - username/passwords that you set up to access that school's student portal
  - deadlines of when applications, self reporting and scholarships are due
  - name and contact info of your admission officer
  - Not sure if you want to go to school in the fall or take a gap year? Check into the school's deferral policy and apply to the school. Most schools let you decide by August if you want to defer attending for a year.

To apply to most Post Secondary Schools in BC go to Education Planner BC (for BCIT you apply directly through the BCIT website)

Early Admission/Scholarship Deadline Dec 1- need to opt in for the President's Scholarship and provide additional info
