Post Secondary Info

Applications generally open Oct 1st but deadlines vary from institution to institution. It is up to you to keep track of deadlines.

Helpful Tips:

  • Don't leave applying to the last minute, as technical issues can occur

  • Check your emails regularly and read them carefully

  • keep a Google Doc that contains all the important info for each institution you apply to which includes:

      • your student number for that school

      • username/passwords that you set up to access that school's student portal

      • deadlines of when applications, self reporting and scholarships are due

      • name and contact info of your admission officer

      • Not sure if you want to go to school in the fall or take a gap year? Check into the school's deferral policy and apply to the school. Most schools let you decide by August if you want to defer attending for a year.
