Hi, my name is Jenaka Laton. I am excited to be your grade 6/7 teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This will be my 17th year teaching in the Saanich School District and 9th year at ROMS. I have previously taught at North Saanich Middle School, Sidney Elementary, and Cordova Bay Elementary. I grew up in Saanichton and attended elementary, middle, and high school in the Saanich school district. My husband, Mike, and I have two sons, a nine year old named Memphis and a six-and-a-half year old named Knox.
I earned my teaching degree from the University of Victoria in 2009. I then continued on to obtain a Certificate and a Diploma in Special Education.
