How to Shade with Pencil for Beginners

"Glue" by BLISH

"Glue" is the first single released by the local Sidney, BC band, BLISH. Ms. Kjernisted's son, Jasper is the front man (lead singer) & guitarist of this power trio, featuring Ben Cowley on the drum kit & Zach Lanigan on bass guitar. The trio formed in the summer of 2018 and won Vancouver Island's "The Battle of the Bands" the following year, landing them their first festival gig at the "Five Acre Shaker" in Port Alberni, BC in August 2019. They are primarily a rock band, however many songs are heavily influenced by the blues, as well as psychedelic rock, characterized by wild guitar solos incorporating reverb pedals such the Wah Wah. Reverb pedals allow the electric guitarist to utilize the depth and tonality of different "spaces." They help to move the guitar sound around the room to create a sense of ambiance &/or surreal tone. BLISH is influenced by other power trios such as The Jimi Hendrix Experience & Cream. Stay tuned for more songs from BLISH with a solid debut EP being released gradually over the next year. You can also find their music on all streaming platforms! #supportlocalartists
