Adopt a School Program

Pexsisen Elementary School - Victoria British ColumbiaOur school was selected to participate in the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation's annual Adopt a School fundraiser! Every dollar raised in-store at Indigo Mayfair and online between September 12 - October 2, 2022 will go DIRECTLY to our school to help fill our shelves with new and diverse books!We are a brand new school located in the Greater Victoria area. We hope that this fundraiser will help to grow our small collection of books. Our goal is to develop a sense of community and belonging. We want our students to see themselves in the stories they read and to be inspired by the stories of others. Thank you so much for supporting our school and for encouraging a love of reading in our students!

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Indigo Adopt a School Program. Your generosity made this a very successful fundraiser for our school. We raised $6,923.00! We can’t wait to purchase books that the students will love for many years to come.

One morning I came to work to find 2 boxes full of brand new books. Following the fundraiser, staff at Indigo Mayfair selected their favourite books and donated them to our school. That's in addition to the near $7,000 we raised! WOW! Thank you Indigo.
