Language Arts

-Students have read chapter 3 of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, as a class

-The first week Lit Circle jobs have been handed in 

-Students have one job to complete for Chapter 3-6

Social Studies

Students are learning about early civilizations, for example, in Haida Gway and in Egypt

Students have been having conversations about Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. We had a Truth and Reconciliation assembly at Glanford on Tuesday in block 2. B5 was the first class to arrive and the last class to leave. Well done Porter's Piranhas! Thank you for being supportive in the assembly. 

French

Students continued with, "Bart veut un chat"

Math

-Students learned about rounding numbers

Science

We will begin our unit on space in October. Look out for current events about space.

PE

-We will cover basket ball skills on Thursday and Friday
