BC Financial Literacy for Youth
Middle School Money Matters is a comprehensive program aimed at middle school students to introduce them to the concept of money and money management including earning, spending and saving. This program tackles real world examples and problems everyday people come across when managing their personal finances. Our view is that it is never too early to learn the principles of sound money management and by introducing them early and continuing and building upon their knowledge every year until graduation, students should have a solid grasp of many of the money management challenges they may face as they enter adulthood. The goal of the middle school program is to blend seamlessly into a high school program which is currently still under construction.
