Remote for Slides is an excellent Chrome Extension that allows you to turn any smartphone or internet enabled device into a remote for transitioning through a Google Slides presentation.

There is no need for any extra hardware

Go to the Chrome Web Store
Search for Remote for Slides
or just click this link HERE
Click Add to Chrome
Once Remote for Slides is added, you will notice a little button now exists at the top of your Google Slides that says Present with Remote

Open any Google Slides Presentation
Click on the Present with Remote button
Click on Show ID & Start Remote (found in the black bar at the bottom of the Slideshow)
On your Device

Open an internet browser on your phone or other device
Go to the website: https://slides.limhenry.xyz
create a bookmark so you don't need to type it in every time
Type in the Slide ID code listed at the bottom of your Google Slides Presentation
Start Presenting!

If you use PowerPoint and want to be able to use this Remote app don't worry, you can always convert any Microsoft Document easily into Google format by uploading it to your files to your Google Drive.
