Quizizz

Quizizz is great review and formative assessment tool to use in your classroom. Like similar quiz/review tools (see my post HERE), Quizizz is free and you can easily create your own quizzes or select from the many shared quizzes on a variety of topics. You may be wondering what makes Quizizz different from these similar tools.

Here are a few things:

Questions and answers on Quizizz are displayed right on the players device (unlike in Kahoot! where they are projected at the front)
Quizzes can be assigned for homework and don't need to be played live in the classroom
Quizzes can be self-paced or a timer can be turned on for more gamification.

Using Quizizz

Starting with Quizizz

Go to the Quizizz website
Click Sign Up or Log in
Click Sign Up/Login with Google
- Use your @sd61learn.ca account to register
Search for pre-existing Quizzes or Create your own

Launch a Quiz (Live)

Select the Quiz you want to Launch
Preview the Questions
Select Play Live
- Select the settings you would like to use
Display the Game Code for students

Note: To assign for Homework click the Homework Button. Here you will be able to set date and time restrictions for students to complete the Quiz on their own time.

Student Access

Go to join.quizizz.com and enter in the Game Code OR go to quizziz.com and select Join a Game
