This post will focus on 3 commonly used features of MyEd for secondary teachers:
Switching between Attendance View and Gradebook View
Printing Reports
Adding Assignments in the Gradebook
For a complete list of the changes please check out the following resources provided by the School District:
It is now possible to switch directly from your class attendance view to that same class’s gradebook.
In the Attendance view you will see the Gradebook icon to the right of the class name. Click here to be brought to the Gradebook.
Alternatively, in the Gradebook view you will see the Attendance icon located to the right of the class name. Click here to go to the class attendance page.
1. In the Gradebook > Click on Class List
this will display all of your current classes.
2. Click on Reports menu and select Blank Grading Sheet
Select the appropriate options from the Blank Grading Sheet Window
Select Run
Note: Most people will include All sections (the default) in this report - to print only the pages you need, be sure to select the appropriate page numbers in the print dialogue box.
1. In the Gradebook > Select Scores from the side menu
2. Click on Reports menu select Gradebook sheet
3. Select the appropriate options in the Gradebook Sheet window
you will most likely want to check off hide student names
At report card time you may want to review the marks and comments you are submitting. To do this:
1. In the Gradebook > Click on Class List
this will display all of your current classes.
2. Click on Reports menu and select BC Marks Verification with Comments
Select Run
A PDF of your students names, marks, and comments would be displayed for you to review.
When adding an assignment in the Gradebook (Add Assignment Button or Options Menu > Add Assignment) you will now see a Save and New button.
This will allow you to add multiple assignments to your Gradebook without having to exit and re-enter the assignment details window every time.
You will still enter your students grades directly into the spreadsheet as before for each assignment.
As mentioned above there have been several upgrades made to MyEd BC in this current update. For a complete guide please visit the School District website for Secondary Teacher Training for MyEd HERE or view the documents listed above.
