Here’s how to set up your sd61learn.ca Gmail account to automatically forward any notifications and emails to your existing sd61.bc.ca account in Outlook so you don’t miss a thing.
PART 1
On your computer, open Gmail using your @sd61learn.ca account to login.
In the top right, click on the Gear Icon
Click Settings.
Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
In the "Forwarding" section, click Add a forwarding address.
Enter the email address you want to forward messages to.
A verification message will be sent to that address. Go to your @sd61.bc.ca email account (Outlook) and click the verification link in that message.
PART 2
Go back to the settings page for the @sd61learn.ca Gmail account and refresh your browser.
Select Forward a copy of incoming mail to.
Choose what you want to happen with the Gmail copy of your emails. I recommend Keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox.
At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
Any email sent to your @sd61learn.ca email address will now be sent to your @sd61.bc.ca email account in Outlook.
In case you are wondering: you CAN reply to any of emails in Outlook (@sd61learn.ca and @sd61.bc.ca), however it’s important to note that they will be sent from your sd61.bc.ca email address only. Currently there is no way to have an option of sending from @sd61learn.ca through Outlook.
