This Tuesday tech tip I pulled out of my Twitter feed this morning and had to share. Radio Garden is a spinning globe that allows the user to locate and listen to live radio feeds from around the world…very cool…give it a try (You will have to turn on your computer speakers…it works on mobile too)
Google Hangouts is a communication platform that includes instant messaging, video chat, SMS, and VOIP. It will allow Mac and non Mac systems to communicate and the video chat is free. Multiple users can chat together using a video conference.
As teachers we know the perils of assigning group projects to very busy students who may or may not live in close proximity.
Google Hangouts gives students an option to get together and discuss projects without having to waste travel time or bother parents for a ride.
