The foundation of PBIS at Collins School, are the three building wide expectations known as the Crusader's Creed.
Students will have the opportunity to earn stamps on a stamp card for showing positive behavior. Students will then trade their stamp card to shop at the Collins Creed Store where they can buy prizes.
The class will also receive Golden Tickets when the whole class is demonstrating respectful, responsible, and safe behavior. Individual classrooms have class celebrations when they reach certain amount of golden tickets
We will also learn about peace and how we could be peaceful members in our classroom. If a student should experience a moment of strong emotions they may choose to go to our "Zen Zone" where they will have various calm down tools available to help them. Students may also utilize the "Zen Zone" to help problem solve with their friends.
If a student is not being respectful, responsible, or safe they will reflect on their behavior through a Think Sheet. This is not meant to be a punishment, but rather a helpful tool to facilitate a conversation with your child at home about the incident. The Think Sheet will be brought home the day of the incident. Please sign the sheet and return it to school the following day.
