Monthly meetings from December-February at 7:45 am and an Evening Event in February.
Students learn about the Scientific Method, pick an experiment or research project to work on outside of school, and then bring to school the day of the Science Fair to present in front of judges.
1st & 2nd Grade Battle of the Books

Students read books for a chance to compete in a district wide battle that tests their comprehension of selected books.

We will read up to 12 books and then compete to see how much we remember about the books.

This is a reading club that reads 12 books over a few months to prepare for district competitions. This Club will meet from January to April to read and discuss books. We will also be preparing to compete against other district schools on the comprehension of the books!

This club is intended for 6th grade girls! The girls in GEMS will follow the engineering design process to learn all about parachute drops and create their own package delivery system!
