What Does It Mean to Be a Self-Advocate?
Being a self-advocate means taking an active role in your own learning.
Don't be afraid to ask questions when you need help or additional information.
Understand what you do well and where you may need additional support.
Create a plan and use your time intentionally.
Know where you are and what you need to accomplish.
Use the people and resources available to help you succeed.
Communicate with your instructors in person.
Keep working, even when you encounter challenges. Lean into challenges rather than avoiding them.
