Document process in and out of class
Dare to draw in new and exciting ways! This drawing class will teach students how to create realistic and abstract drawings from real life and from their imaginations. Students will get to experiment with a variety of drawing materials including graphite, charcoal, ink, watercolor, digital tools and many more! We will focus on the Elements of Art and Principles of Design to develop projects. Students will create multiple visual art projects, display their work, use digital communication, discuss visual art and develop a Process Sketchbook.
Project: One-Point Perspective Setting
Students will draw with a pencil, blending stick and eraser while they demonstrate their understanding of the Elements of Art with a focus on Space (perspective).
Students will create an ink drawing with an emphasis on simulated textures and watercolor techniques.
