WOLFPACK SOCCER BRINGS HOME ITS FIRST TROPHY!

The senior laden boys soccer team brought home a runner-up finish at the state tournament in Missoula in late October. The Pack leaped into the state championship with a last minute goal to defeat top seeded and undefeated Billings Senior by a score of 2-1. Connor Heil scored the game-winning goal that all started with a corner kick. The win propelled the Pack to the state championship contest against two-time defending state champion Missoula Hellgate.

In the title game, the Pack battled valiantly throughout the contest as the score was knotted at 1-1 as time expired. In overtime, The Wolfpack took an early lead 6 minutes into the overtime. However, the lead was short-lived as Hellgate drilled 2 shots within minutes. The Knights claimed a 4-2 advantage over the scrappy and skilled Pack.

The Pack finished an outstanding season by displaying grit, resilience, and flexibility. Over half the season, it was filled with uncertainty as far as practice and game times because of smoke from wildfires and the scrooge of cyber-terrorists. Not only were the Pack awarded with a 2nd place trophy, they received multiple all-state accolades with Brady Schultz and Ryan Symmes receiving first team honors. Micah Reason, Rohit Tappeta, and Connor Heil all received second team recognition. Congratulations to the Pack and their coaching staff!
