POUR ANOTHER GATORADE
FOR ANNIE

Junior Annie Hill ran to her 2nd Gatorade Player of the year recognition this past spring by winning the Track and Field honor for the state of Montana. She has also won the same prestigious award in cross country during her sophomore year. The award is in its 32nd year and recognizes not only outstanding athletes, but also students who demonstrate academic excellence and strong character.

Annie was recognized for her spring state championships earned in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters at the state AA meet in Butte. Hill scored 42 points in her individual and team events, which was more points than nine of the other AA teams scored at the competition. Annie has also displayed academic excellence by maintaining a perfect 4.0 while also volunteering in her community. She plays the piano and violin in fine fashion as well.

Former Wolfpack track coach and current Butte High track and football coach Arie Grey states, “Annie Hill is one of the premier track and field athletes from Montana. The range that she has is truly remarkable. She had a very special year and is a true representative of Montana Track & Field. She is a special athlete and a lot of fun to watch.” Congratulations to Annie and her Wolfpack coaches Jerry Boschee and Jacob Deitz for providing an atmosphere for our athletes to flourish and succeed.
