Meet the Choirs at GHS:

Curricular

Bass/Treble Choir(9-12):

Mezzo Choir(10-12): This course is an intermediate treble ensemble open to 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students by audition. Members must audition and fit the ability and vocal needs as determined by the director. Please see the instructor for more details or to set up an audition time.

Concert Choir: the premier mixed choir at GHS, is open to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students by audition.  This choir strives for the highest levels of artistic achievement in choral music.  Students in this performance-based class will prepare a wide variety of challenging repertoire, accompanied and a cappella, to be presented at concerts throughout the year.  Students must audition yearly and fit the ability and vocal needs of the group as determined by the director.  Performances during the year include public concerts, AA Choir Festival, District Music Festival, and possible tours.  Please see the instructor for more details or to set up an audition time.

Echoes: This small ensemble of 16 voices focuses on chamber music, vocal jazz, and any other style suited for small vocal groups.  Admission to this class is by audition only and is limited by the number of openings each year.  Members of this choir must also be enrolled in the Concert Choir or advanced instrumental ensemble.  This ensemble performs frequently out in the community.  All performances are mandatory. Extra Curricular:

Gust is an auditioned bass ensemble open to all grades. Students must also be members of a large choral group or an instrumental ensemble.  

Breeze is a select treble ensemble open to all grades. Girls must audition and fit the ability and vocal needs as determined by the director. Students must also be members of a large choral group or an instrumental ensemble.
