You MUST do a capstone to graduate
you need a digital portfolio for DC11 and it is strongly recomended for scholarships
Capstone and Digital Portfolio can be separate but the Digital Portfolio can be used as a capstone
DC11 will mark this but I will give you time during the year to work on it
Portfolio is due MAY 15
monthly scaffolding via google classroom and DC11
It’s about quality, not quantity
Portfolio should include:
8 sections / areas (About me, Community, literacy, math, Contribute, Collaborate, Critical Thinking, Create & Innovate)
Visuals (photos, videos)
Words (text, audio or video for each section)
You can use examples from inside AND outside of school
What are your strengths? Where is your growth? What are your next steps in your journey?
Class assignments: one per month that match page building for each one of your portfolio
For those that graduate early, they can move ahead & do the assignments.
Nothing has to be in website format: video, podcast, website, slide deck…
Students will be able to:
Decide on formats for Digital Portfolio and Capstone
Set up a folder in Google Drive to store important documents for the project
Google drive / CLC12 / Portfolio-Capstone
Start working on your project
Open Capstone-Portfolio Rubric and reflect on your work habits for the day. Highlight the appropriate part of the rubric and fill in the accomplished section with what you did today. Hand-in to google classroom.
Slideshows: Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint

con: no menu for organization, only linear
Video: Edited with Imovie, Adobe Premiere (we have a free license for you if needed but needs to work on a PC or Mac(will not work on Chromebooks)(see Mr. Verbeek for how to add Premiere on your computer at home, Blender or a host of other programs
Google Sites: by far the easiest website to work with. Most likely you have already started the MAP which can be used or modified
this 2022 Digital Portfolio Template is a simplified version of the older MAP with all sections needed plus a spot for your personal statement. You do not have to use it if you have already started it.
