PPS Staff

Jeff is the 8th grade counselor.  He started at Glenn Westlake in 2001. Before starting at GWMS he taught 6th grade, 8th Social Studies and PE in Aurora and Downers Grove.

Julie is the counselor for all the 6th grade students. She has been the GWMS since 1999. She served as the school psychologist in District 44 from 1998-2008. Prior to working in District 44 she was a school psychologist for Elmhurst School District 205 for four years. She also served as a school psychologist in northeast Tennessee for two years.

Janet is the 7th grade counselor.  She has been working in District 44 for 4 years.  Before that, she taught English Language Arts at the middle and high school levels.  She also has prior middle school counseling experience.  Her teaching degree is from Illinois State University and her Masters in Counseling was completed at Northern Illinois University.  Her favorite part of counseling is making connections with students and helping guide them through creating strong social emotional skills.

Laura has been a school social worker in D44 since 2015 and currently works at Glenn Westlake. Laura completed her undergraduate degree at Wheaton College and graduate degree at Loyola University Chicago. 

Laura enjoys working with students of all ages and helping each individual student improve their emotional and communication skills. 

Kelly has been a school social worker in D44 since 2000. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. 

Jackie Mackin has been a school psychologist at Glenn Westlake Middle School since 2014.  Previously, she worked at Manor Hill Elementary School in the district and in East Peoria Elementary District #86 in East Peoria, IL.  Jackie completed her undergraduate degree at Illinois Wesleyan University and Specialist in School Psychology degree at Illinois State University.  She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP).  She enjoys working with students of all ability levels on developing and improving their social-emotional skills, such as social awareness and emotion regulation.  

Catherine is a speech language pathologist at Glenn Westlake Middle School.  She has been with the district since 2015.  Catherine has a bachelors degree in Child Development from Northern Illinois University, a bachelors degree in Communication Disorders from Governors State University, and a masters degree in Communication Disorders from Governors State University.    She loves working with her students and helping them enhance their communication skills!

Alexis Gustafson has been a speech-language pathologist in Lombard School District 44 since 2004.  She has also worked in early intervention, private and medical settings. Alexis completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech Pathology with a minor in psychology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.  She enjoys working with students of all ability levels and ages on developing their speech, language and social skills to assist with academic and social successes.

Eileen has been a school nurse in District 44 for over ten years. Prior to that, she worked at Northwestern Memorial, Lurie Children's and Rush. She graduated from Rush University with a BSN and also has a degree in Education from St. Norbert College.
