Students must show proficiency in English and another language through standardized language assessments. If no standardized assessment is avaiable, the students may show proficiency through an alternative process. Bloom Township District 206 will be offering the AAPPL assessment. This assessment will last approximately 3 hours and students will be assessed in the four domains of language: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Students must meet the following criteria to earn the awards:
Proficiency in English (ONE of the following):
ACCESS Overall Composite of 4.8 or higher
SAT Score of 480 in English Language Arts (EBRW)
ACT Score composite of 21 or 18 on the English Subject Area Test
AP English Language and Composition Score of 5
AAPPL Test Score of Intermediate-5 or Advanced in all four domains
Proficiency in other language (ONE of the following):
AP Language and Culture Exam score of 4 or 5
AAPPL Test score of Intermediate-5 or Advanced in all four domains
Proficiency in English (ONE of the following):
ACCESS Literacy score of 3.5 or higher
SAT Score of 480 in English Language Arts (EBRW)
ACT Score composite of 21 or 18 on the English Subject Area Test
AP English Language and Composition Score of 3
AAPPL Test Score of Intermediate 1-4 in all four domains
Proficiency in other language (ONE of the following):
AP Language and Culture Exam score of 3
AAPPL Test score of Intermediate 1-4 in all four domains
