Special Classes

Our class will be having Music, Art, PE, Library, and Technology classes this year, but not in the usual way. The Specialists will be coming into our classroom to start the year, instead of your child going to their classrooms:)

Grading Scale

On graded assignments, whether on paper, or digitally, there will be a percentage, letter grade, or both. The grading scale is as follows:

100-93 A

92-87 B

78-86 C

77-70 D

69-0 F

Homework

Each day, students will be responsible for learning activities in many different areas of the curriculum. If a student does not finish these activities during the school day, then he/she will have this work to complete for homework. What a student doesn't finish that day is considered homework.

Grade Corrections

Paper or digital graded assignments that your child has completed and turned in, will be graded and returned minimum weekly.

~If an assignment has earned a grade of 70% or higher, then corrections cannot be made.

~If an assignment has earned a grade of 69% or lower, corrections can be made and returned for an average of the two earned grades.

Transportation Changes

Please be sure to notify the office immediately if your child will need a transportation change. They will inform me.

Your child's grades can be found in PowerSchool. If you have already used it to access your child's grades during previous school years, your log-in will remain the same. If you have never used PowerSchool before, please let me know so that I can send you log-in information to get started:)

Classroom Expectations

PBIS program at Arcadia School!

  • Below, you will find our Classroom Matrix, with the B.E.A.R.S. expectations, and what following them would look like in the various settings within our classroom.

  • You will also find the Arcadia School Matrix. This shows the same B.E.A.R.S. expectations, but in various setting throughout the school.

Please help reinforce these expectations with your child.

If we work together, we can make this the best atmosphere for our class to learn!
