Our athletic program supports students’ physical, social, and emotional growth by providing opportunities at every stage of development. In School District 104, students can participate in athletics at three levels: Intramurals, Cadet Programs, and Interscholastic Sports.
Intramurals (Grades 4–5) offer an introduction to athletics in a fun, inclusive, and non-competitive setting. Students learn fundamental skills, build friendships, and develop a love of being active.
Cadet Programs (Grade 5) provide a bridge between elementary and middle school athletics. Fifth-grade students can participate in select Heritage Middle School sports, with a focus on skill development, teamwork, and preparation for future competition.
Interscholastic Sports (Grades 6–8 at Heritage Middle School) offer students the opportunity to represent their school in competitive play. These programs emphasize commitment, discipline, teamwork, and personal growth on and off the field.
At all levels, the School District 104 Athletic Department is committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where every student can stay active, build confidence, and be part of something bigger.
