Thank you for visiting the Whiting High School webpage. My name is Travis Anderson and I am very excited to serve as the principal of Whiting High School.  This will be my fourth year as a school administrator and my 11th year as an educator.  Prior to my administrative years, I taught math, special education, physical education, and health at the high school level.  I believe that education should be student-centered through a collaborative approach between school staff, parents, and community members.  Through this collaboration, students will be provided with a positive environment that is conducive to learning. 

I appreciate the administration and school board for giving me this amazing opportunity.  Moreover, I am extremely grateful to work with the first-class students of Whiting High School.  Since I arrived in the School City of Whiting, the students have been overwhelmingly welcoming and respectful.  That behavior is a true reflection of the positive role models that they have had throughout their lives.  I am looking forward to working with everyone to ensure our students have the best opportunity for success in the classroom and in their future.  Please feel free to contact me with questions about this school year at WHS.
