A Message from Dr. Bates

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year.! I hope this communication finds you and your family well. We hope you are looking forward to welcoming students back into your classrooms and returning to a new school year.  Thank you for all of your efforts to continue to engage, inspire and educate students.

Children often take social and emotional cues from those around them, so showing excitement for the new year is a great strategy for getting your child set for success. If you need additional supports, please reach out as the Curriculum Team is here to assist!

The famous, former Chicago Bears Coach Mike Ditka once said,  “Success is about taking advantage of opportunity.” Here at Salem County Vocational Technical Schools and Salem County Special Services School Districts, we strive to provide quality learning experiences designed to meet the unique needs of all of our students.

Our overarching goal is for students to be prepared for life after graduation, which we know will look very different for each student. Our small class sizes, integration of curriculum, and connections to the community and business partners allows us to focus on meeting the needs of each child.
