About me

-I grew up in Sacramento and went to Sutter Middle School, now Miwok Middle School, as well as  Caleb Greenwood and McClatchy High School. 

-I have my bachelors in psychology, my special education teaching credential, and my masters in education with and emphasis in special education.                                     

-I have been teaching special education since 2004 and have been at Miwok since 2015.

-I have tons of school spirit and love dress up days! 

-I love to participate in all the activities, like Air Rock!

-I'm willing to make a fool of myself for the kids entertainment by doing things like jumping into a freezing cold pool in the middle of winter or letting a student smash a pie in my face!

-I love coaching our cheerleading squad.  💚  📣  💛

• My favorite thing to do is travel with my family! My boys have become quite the good little travelers.

-I love to decorate the third floor with my students around the holidays!

-I'm also a SCUSD parent. I have two boys, one at Crocker Riverside and one here at Miwok. I spend the time I'm not at school as a professional chauffeur, driving them to all of their activities. 

Miwok is a unique place to work. Not only do teachers love to get involved to make things amazing for our students, but many of us also love involve our own families. My boys have gone on field trips, attended too many games to count, and can't wait until they are Oaks too! They have some mighty Oak Spirit! My youngest even likes to go say good job to the basketball team after games. 💚 🏀 💛
