STUDENT SUPPORT CENTER TEAM
Sangita Vakis, MSW, PPSC
Hello! I’m Ms. Vakis, but most students call me Ms. V. I’m one of the school social workers here at JFK, and I’m here to support you however I can.
Whether you’re feeling stressed, need someone to talk to, or just aren’t sure where to start, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. Together, we can explore helpful tools, connect you with resources, and work toward your goals-one step at a time.
When I’m not at school, you’ll probably find me at a dance class, making jewelry, spending time with family and friends, or planning my next adventure around the world. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you throughout your time at JFK!

Becky Stroble, LCSW, PPSC
Hi! I'm excited to join the JFK school community. I've been a school social worker since 2018 across elementary, middle and high schools. My goal is to be a compassionate partner along the wellness journeys of students, providing holistic support, personalized tools, helpful referrals, and overall fostering a safe space for every student.
A few areas of focus include: grief and bereavement support, anxiety management, and healthy relationships. I am constantly learning new things from students and plan to be a lifelong learner.
Outside of work I enjoy traveling with my husband, growing tomatoes in my garden, and SCUBA diving!

Amanda Eddy, LMFT, LPCC
Hello! I'm Ms. Amanda, the SCOE School-Based Mental Health and Wellness Clinician. I’m new to SCOE as of the Fall of 2026, but I’ve been a school-based therapist since 2016. I previously provided school-based therapy to students across various ages in the Bay Area. My hope is to be a trustworthy advocate and provide students a safe, collaborative, and thoughtful space to guide you to develop the skills you need to become a successful, independent, soon to be adult in the future.
I relocated to the Sacramento area to be closer to family in my hometown of Grass Valley. Outside of work I enjoy: reading, spending time outdoors, rooting for the San Jose Sharks and SF Giants, podcasts, music, and enjoying art (either at museums, galleries, or creating my own).
