In First Grade, we continue to build on the foundational skills of Kindergarten using a multisensory approach to reading and writing.  There are 5 main areas of the English/Language Arts curriculum: foundational skills, speaking and listening, reading informational skills, reading literature, and writing. Students benefit from instruction that includes daily Heggerty and Fundations programming, along with the McGraw-Hill Wonders Reading program.
