Sheridan High School Senior Spotlight

Ethan Rickett

Dearest Ethan,

It has been the greatest joy of our lives watching you grow up! From watching you play sports, to your beginning days at Sagebrush when you stood up at the talent show and did a comedy routine with your handful of jokes, to your enthusiasm for wearing your pink shoes to prom; it has been such a fun journey! Some of our proudest parenting moments have been calls we've gotten from teachers over the years with examples of how you've been kind to other kids in different ways, when no one else was watching. You came into this world ten days late, and have always had a laid back style about you, which we hope serves you well. Your curiosity about others, your zest for life, and your unique character will provide for many adventures. Your dedication and loyalty to your family and friends is immeasurable and inspiring! You are good; you are smart; you are kind, and the greatest son we could have asked for! We are SO grateful and thankful for you! Now go out into this big, wide world, and make your Grandpa Bob proud! We know that you will, because you have made us so very proud already! Cheers to you, many more amazing memories, laughter and love.

We love you!

Mom, Dad and Chloe

Ethan plans to attend the University of Wyoming to major in business and continue on to law school.

Alex Garber

Alex, we cannot begin to tell you how proud we are of you and the fine young man you have become. A parent always hopes and prays their child develops the character traits of kindness, compassion, self discipline, friendship, unselfish love, endurance under adversity, right judgement, a humble spirit as well as acknowledgement of their creator and savior. You have shown all these traits to us and more. I can still remember when you were 2 years old, Dave Rojo upon seeing you run across the gym floor, stated as if knowing your future, “He’s going to be a runner.” And so you have become. More importantly, from what we have personally witnessed, the comments and compliments we have received about you, and the way you have conducted yourself through your High School years, it is easy to see that those who have taken the time to know you are blessed for having known you. May you continue to do the same through out your college years and through life! Happiness is in staying true to yourself, your calling, and God’s will for your life.

Alex plans on attending the University of Mary to study Bio-Mechanics

Hannah Schoup

Hannah, No matter how difficult this last semester of your senior year has been, you have done it with grace. I honor you every day, but now, more than ever. You will have so many things to look forward to in the future. As hard as it is to believe this right now, please know that this really is a small part of your life. Your big, defining moments are coming my darling! As you always say, God has you! Congratulations my love! I’m cheering you on! You are going places!

Love,Mom

'Tim Daniels has always been a teacher that I can go to for academics and my personal life alike. He’s been through a good portion of life and has always given me the best advice on anything that I have gone to him for help.'

Hannah will be attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to major in Biological Sciences.

Calen Bell

Calen, I am so proud of you and the man you are becoming. You have been everything to me since you and I gazed into each others eyes April 27, 2001. That day still remains the best day of my life. Through the years of raising you, it always amazed me how much older you were in spirit than in body. You always reminded me of the importance of keeping my feet on the ground and made me stop and think twice before I acted. These qualities that are very unique for a young person always amazed me. I see the greatness in you that some day you will hopefully share with the world. Remember, you choose you! No one outside of you should ever be in charge of determining who you are or will be in your life. Remember where you come from; strength, bravery, honesty, and hard work. These core values are who you are and if embraced and chosen as your foundation of self will get you through lives difficult times and give you way more good times than bad. I look forward to being part of your next chapter, let the vision of the future always be your focus each day of your life. Congratulations Calen Bell!! LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!

Brock has had an impressive high school career both academically and athletically. Holding a 4.3 GPA throughout high school, he is a 2020 Summit Award Winner, rotary student, and 2020 Indoor track and field four-time state champion.

Brock's advice to incoming freshmen would be; "Live in the moment. The time can go by quickly and unexpected things happen. Find out who you are and take pride in that, don't hide your true self to be someone you're not."

Brock plans to attend Montana State University in Bozeman to study engineering.

Maya Bork

One of Maya's fondest high school memories was; Our last homecoming football game. All of us seniors got underclassmen to join in for all of the activities, and throughout the game, we all sang throwback songs. We felt united and it was a great feeling.

Maya's favorite teacher; There are a ton of teachers and staff members that have left strong imprints on my heart, but if I had to pick just one, I believe I'd have to say Kevin Rizer. Mr. Rizer isn't just a teacher -- he's a friend, a comedian, an advice giver, and an overall amazing person. I had the pleasure of getting to know Mr. Rizer throughout my junior year, and to learn and admire him. He has taught me so many things, not only about history and the government, but about life as well.

Maya plans to go to Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Med & Chemistry. After that, she plans to go on to Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver, CO to pursue an education as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist.

Love Mom and Dad

Lauren's most inspirational teachers were; Mr. Daniels. He always pushed me to be a better student. He has slowly taught me how to ask for help again.

Mrs. "K" has always tried her hardest to show me that I am a good person, student, musician. Something I've struggled with, is the way I see myself. Thanks to her I am finally starting to see my worth.

Lauren is undecided about college, but hopes to study psychology and animal science.

Colmann's fondest memory of high school was; Spending time with my friends and forming bonds with teachers that I wasn’t able to do when I was in middle school. Colmann's most influential teachers were; Mrs.Craft and Mrs.Coulter I was able to form bonds with them that I wasn’t able to form with anyone else. They are not only amazing teachers but they are amazing people they have the right balance between education and humor they put the needs of the student above the class work and make going to their class something that I would look forward too. I was able to be myself around them which is something I wasn’t able to do with any other teachers they accepted all of my quirks and helped me develop as a person.

Colmann plans to attend the University of Wyoming and possibly pursue a degree in either business administration or Computer Engineering.

Isabelle Cruz

Isabelle is a Summit award recipient, Bronze Congressional Award recipient, 3 year all state violinist, senior class president, and editor of the school newspaper.

Advice from Isabelle: Focus on your schoolwork and stay on top of it. Friends are important but what you learn and what you take away from your classes is what really matters. You won't see most of your classmates at all after high school so try not to care what other people think of you. Just be yourself.

One of my fondest memories is probably our junior takeover lunch last year. We had it in the parking lot of Grace Anglican Church just across the street from the school. Some members of the church helped us set up grills and we had a big cookout.

Isabelle will attend the University of Wyoming and major in Business Economics

Kaitlynn Oakes

We are proud of you, Kaitlynn! “She is clothed in Strength and Dignity & she laughs without fear of the future.”

Dave & Sher Oakes

All I can say to the underclassmen is to not stress the little things, or even big things like the ACT. Just enjoy high school while you can, and try to learn from your mistakes.

Kaitlynn plans on moving out on her own and experiencing adulthood before going back to school.

Kayden Palmer

We are so happy in who you have become! You have always blessed our family with extra love and laughs. You're an amazing young man full of character and we know you are going to bring a lot of good into the world just as you have done in our family and with your friends. Katie Ligocki

Congratulations on your graduation Katie! We are proud of you and the work ethic you exhibit. Remember to think clearly and seek Truth. Your life is a gift...spend it chasing significant things, not the inconsequential. We love you! Kim & Larry Ligocki

My favorite high school memories have come from the years of playing volleyball and basketball as a Lady Bronc. Not only because of my teammates and coaches and the memories we made together, but also because of the support from community members.

Katie's advice to the underclassmen: Don't wish high school away and attend every school activity you can! I wish I had more time to soak in the experience.

Katie plans to attend the University of Wyoming to study physiology as a pre-dental student.

Carly Linn

Who has had the biggest impact on you during high school? Officer Pitchford or Mrs. Barker! Pitchford is so nice and really knows how to brighten up anyone’s day! Kathy has the best laugh and just is warming to the heart! They both know how to give great advice!

Carly's advice to the underclassmen: Don’t procrastinate or be late!

Carly plans on studying nursing.

Meaghan Martin

Who has had the biggest impact on you during high school? Ms. Reed was my freshman English teacher. And if it wasn't for her than I doubt that I ever would have realized I was still so passionate about making writing my career.

Meaghan's words of wisdom to the underclassmen include: Sometimes its ok to do right by yourself. It's good to not want to hurt others but make sure that your kindness isn't being taken advantage of either.

Meaghan plans on taking some time off from school, getting a full time job and writing after high school.

Leeanna Miller

Some of Leeanna's fondest high school memories include: Coop's class with Janelle and off campus lunch.

She encourages the underclassmen to: Be yourself!! Don’t procrastinate and don’t stress - have fun!!

Two people who have had the most impact on Leeanna during high school are: Ashley Cooper, my dear art teacher, and Jessica Pickett, a great gym teacher.

Leeanna plans on working after high school.

Sophia Lou Calkins

Dear Sophie,

Since the day you were born you’ve been full of spunk, compassion and witty grit. You have always wanted to be independent and do things yourself. You’ve shown that you’re incredibly resourceful and full of compassion and find ways to overcome obstacles by forging your own path. With no doubt you will come out on the other-side stronger and have more compassion for the world than you ever thought possible. We are so very proud of you and what you’ve accomplished these last four years and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.

With all our love,

Your biggest fans, Eddie boy & Woman

aka Mom & Dad

Jazlyn Alden

Jazlyn's advice to incoming freshmen:

GET INVOLVED!!! This is my major regret, I didn't get involved in a lot of things and I didn't participate as much as I would have liked. I really wished I would have went to prom my junior year because this year would have been my first prom and last. :(

Jazlyn's fondest memory of high school:

My fondest high school memory is when I went to the art symposium and got to see all the beautiful artwork, including my own.

Jazlyn plans to attend college in Oklahoma to become an Obstetrician

Lane Drake

I won’t promise I’m not still going to hover and ask endless questions and pester you. No matter what happens in life, keep a good heart! We are so very very proud of you and we love you beyond words kiddo!

Mom and Dad

Lane's favorite staff member was Ed Fessler. He was always there and always had a smile.

Lane's fondest memory was; My accounting class sophomore year with Ms. Coulter.

Lane hopes to go into Pre-Law.

Zoe Robison

Advice from Zoe: Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself these next four years. It will only benefit you in the long run.

Which staff member had the biggest impact? Mr. Sarkissian because I’ve had him as an orchestra teacher since 6th grade, and he has impacted my life in a tremendous way.

We are so very proud of all your accomplishments throughout your school years and are excited to see what the future holds for you. Remember to stay involved in your community, wherever it may be. It is our hope that you maintain a sense of curiosity and remember there is always something to be thankful for. We love you!

Martha and Wendell Robison

Zoe plans to swim at the University of Wyoming and study Physiology.

Katelin Rogaczewski

Advice from Katlin: Always try your best, even if you think you're going to fail. When you give you're all, you've accomplished more than winning and only giving half. Also, always help out people: whether that be friends, family, or a stranger. Besides making them happy, you feel good yourself when you help out another human being.

Fondest memory: Cross Country bus and overnight trips. I loved going down to Thornton, Colorado my junior year. The course is fun and challenging, and you get to meet new people from different states. The long bus rides back and forth, and the overnight hotel trip with the team were especially fun. We all are a family and that makes it all the better.

Katlin plans to attend the University of Wyoming to major in Psychology and minor in Criminal Justice. Whether or not she joins the Air Force ROTC program, she still plans to serve in the military and help veterans and other at-risk populations after college, either as a psychologist or in the police forensics department.

Samantha Rogaczewski

Advice from Samantha: All you can ever do is give it your all. If you work hard and try your best you cannot fail and you won't ever cheat yourself or those around you. Also, know that any trial or hard assignment will end and you will get it done eventually. Most of all, remember that it is okay not to be okay sometimes, so don't get down on yourself or others but lift each other up.

Fondest Memory: My fondest high school memory would probably have to be at State Track last year (2019). I was able to hang out with some of my best friends and create new friendships with my roommates, I ran my favorite race the 4x400m relay, and it was snowing off and on. But most of all, it was because I saw my brother after I ran my race; I was so surprised and happy and ran into his arms for a hug.

Samantha plans to attend the University of Wyoming, and enroll into the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources, where she will pursue a major in Environmental Science.

Anna Romero

Words of Wisdom: Honestly enjoy the good/bad days of school and really get into the themes and go to games. Take every day “day by day” and just appreciate that you get to spend a whole year, every year, for four years in this school because, clearly, it can all be taken away in a second.

My fondest memory of high school was all the football/basketball/etc games and events I got to go to and just being about of a great graduating class.

Teachers: To be honest I can’t pin point a certain teacher, there’s been many over the years that have helped me become who I am, and their attitudes towards school and learning and their students are what impacted me the most. If I had to name a few I would select; Bob Hanchett, Ed Fessler, Kevin Rizer, Elizabeth Swager, Kathy Barker, and Carol Stewart. They all have individually given me the most wonderful high school experience and they truly deserve the world. They bring energy and tolerance (to my energy) to the classroom every day and something funny or memorable always happens in their class. I will miss them so much.

I will be going to college at BHSU for pre med.

Jasmine Schultz

Jasmine,

I am so proud of you! You exhibit determination, perseverance, and kindness in everything you do. Don't give up on your dreams, because these qualities will make your dreams become reality some day. Remember to stop and enjoy the beauty around you from the people to the scenery! I couldn't be any more proud of you and your accomplishments. I can't wait to see where they take you in the future.

Lots of Love,

Mom.

Fondest memory: There has not been a homecoming game I haven’t missed since the 6th grade. High School is great for creating memories with all your friends. So the best memories have always come out of all the dances, the games, prom, and certainly the pep assembly. There are so many memories that have happened over the last 4 years, it’s hard to pick just one.

Teachers: Mr. Daniels and Mr. Kevin Rizer have made the most impact on my high school career. Not only do they have a great belief in their students in hush school, but what they can do after. They keep pushing their students for the best. Both have great stories and great ways of motivating students to keep doing better.

I plan on getting a Business and Hospitality Management degree, so that I can build my own diner.

Berkley Smith

Awards: Academic letter freshman, sophomore and junior year. Lettered in football managing. Lettered in FBLA freshman, sophomore and junior year. FBLA state winner sophomore and junior year. Honor roll freshman, sophomore and junior year. Matthew Perkins award(2018), Kalif Shriner award(2018), National honor society acceptance junior year.

Fondest Memory: I believe my fondest high school memory will always be after the state championship football game this year, 2019. I managed the team and it was a very special moment getting to see all of Sheridan and our senior boys celebrate something they had worked so hard for.

Words of Wisdom: Participate in every high school activity you can. Join a club and make new friends. Work hard. Go to the football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc games. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Even though you may find school to be a waste of time, you don’t realize how great it is until you don’t have it. Do everything you possibly can before something happens and you suddenly can’t. Get the greatest friend group you can. One that knows you and wants to make you happy. Be respectful to your teachers and make them all your friend. Be a Bronc.

I will attend Sheridan College to achieve my basic education and then study elementary education at BHSU.

Vikki Swinyer

Fondest memory: Building fly rods with Coach Hamrick.

Words of Wisdom: Take the experience of being part of the Sheridan High school in because once you leave and become an adult, you'll want to turn the clock back. Where you had no bills to pay and nothing to worry about, because being an adult is hard work. So enjoy high school as much as you can. Times maybe rough but just lift your head up and plow through.

Teacher who had the most impact: Andy Wallkenkamp

Vikki plans to attend Sheridan College in the fall.

Clara Syring

Fondest Memory: Going to our state cheer competition junior year and placing 5th.

Words of Wisdom: Try everything. Go out for your favorite sport or join a club because you'll have so much fun.

Teacher who had the most impact: Meg Montgomery, because she has been my mentor in many of my special education classes over the years and has taught me a lot of what I need to know to go into this teaching profession.

Clara intends to go to Sheridan College for two years, as she has already received my acceptance letter, to study early childhood education. Then she plans on transferring to either Chadron State or The University of Wyoming to further study special education specifically.

Alicia Thoney

Congratulations Alicia! We are so proud of all that you have accomplished, but we are most proud of the person you have become. Your hard work, integrity and kindness will always serve you well. We love you, Mom and Dad.

Words of Wisdom: My advice to underclassmen is to be involved in school athletics/activites and support one another along the way.

I highly appreciate the life lessons I have learned from Mr. Lowe, Mr. Vandyke, Mr. Daniels, and Mr. Nelson. In addition, I am especially grateful for Mrs. Coulter’s dedication to the computer science program. Finally, my education would not be complete without the continuous support from Mrs. Hill, junior high GATE teacher.

I plan to pursue a degree in computer science at the University of Wyoming. Although the field is very large, I am most interested in software development, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

Jamie Will

Jamie, it is so hard to believe the time has come for you to spread your wings and begin a new adventure. You have such a very bright future ahead of you. Keep believing in yourself and you will achieve all the goals you have for your life. We are very proud of you!

Love, Mom and Dad.

Fondest Memory: junior takeover day

Words of Wisdom: soak up high school, you’re never guaranteed anything so enjoy the time with your friends, classmates and teachers

Teacher who had the most impact: Mr. Kevin Rizer as he’s taught me many lessons being my teacher and coach. i’ve learned so much from him about being a better person and a good leader

Jami plans to play soccer at the next level and pursue a degree in health sciences.

Sidney Wilson

Fondest Memory: I don't really know if I can choose just one because there are so many that are so different. For example I loved getting to take Rebel Chef because it was such a fun class and probably one of my favorites but another experience I cherish was getting to do the senior scavenger hunt or even going to the football games. Ultimately, I guess just overall, spending time with close friends in general.

Words of Wisdom: School is important, grades are important, and being involved is extremely important as well. However, don't forget to live your life outside of school as well. Spend time with family and friends, pick up new hobbies, go new places because the time really does fly by.

After graduation Sidney plans on attending the University of Wyoming and obtaining a minor in Spanish and a major in Environmental Science and Natural Resources. Sidney also hopes to do some studying abroad.

Kahley Sipe

Fondest Memory: Through being involved in FFA I have been able to meet some of my closest friends, as well as traveling across the state to compete in various competitions.

Words of Wisdom: Always stay true to yourself, and make sure that you have fun throughout your entire high school career. High school is your last chance to really be a kid, and learn who you want to be when you grow up, so make sure the seize the chance.

Kahley plans to attend Sheridan College for one year, before transferring to the University of Wyoming to obtain her bachelors degree in sales and marketing.

Abby Sanders

Your family is beyond proud of you Abby!!

Continue to always work hard, see the positive in every situation & always be grateful.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams & live the life you’ve imagined...we love you & will always be cheering you on!

David & Becky Sanders

My fondest high school memory would have to be cheering in the student section surrounded by all your friends.

Words of Wisdom: Based on everything that has happened at the end of this year I would just say go to school and enjoy it because you never know what will happen or when your school year will be over.

Abby plans on attending Sheridan college to pursue her volleyball career.

Ryan Sessions

Ryan,

You have been such a joy to raise! You are the baby, probably a little spoiled (according to your older siblings) but not in a 'rotten' way. You have suffered much affliction through your high school years and somehow you always seem to rise above the affliction and come out even stronger. Your dedication to overcome these obstacles has been admirable! You have such a sweet spirit and are willing to help those less fortunate than you. Remember who you are, where you came from and where you are going and stay on the right path and God will help you along your journey. You have many friends and family who have been such a positive influence in your life. Remember how much you are loved and never take those relationships for granted.

We love you tons!!

Love,

Mom and Dad :)

Proverbs 3:5-6

Tasha Rozman

Tasha, there are so many things we want to say to you as your parents but first and foremost we are so incredibly proud of the person you have become. We will never forget the day you were born a tiny little 6lbs baby girl that changed our life forever. You have been the greatest gift life could ever have given your dad and I. Watching you grow up has been an adventure that we have loved exploring with you. Your sense of freedom and independence has been with you since the beginning. You are always looking for something new to discover which is one value we love about you. We hope above all else you have felt the love your dad and I have for you and the determination we have to make sure that life is always good to you. Please continue to do this for yourself throughout life. Work hard at everything you do. Love yourself as much as we do, know your worth and don’t settle for anything less. Recognize that the outcome of your life will be a direct reflection of your choices so think about them. Know that we will always be here for you whenever you need us. We are your biggest supporters. We love you Tasha Lashay Rozman and can’t wait to see what you do in this world!

Brad and Stacy Rozman

Christian Rivers

Christian we want you to know that we are very proud of you. You have grown to be a special young man in our lives. Follow your dreams and keep moving forward .

Love,

Grandma and Grandpa

Wyatt Shaw

We enjoyed watching you mature from a scrawny boy into a strong determined young man. Watching that competitive look on your face kick in on the home stretch of a race to pass your opponents and finish the race strong was so very exciting to witness. You are a true leader on and off the course and track. We cherish your Cross Country and Track family about as much as you do; such great friends and wonderful memories. Your patriotism and kindness towards others is extraordinary!!! We are so very PROUD OF YOU and excited to see where life takes.

Love,

Dad and Mom

Eric Taylor

Congratulations Eric. We are very proud of your accomplishments and admire your hard work and dedication to academics and baseball. You have an amazing willingness to try new things and have not let the fear of failure hold you back. We are so proud of the person you have become, and can’t wait to see what is in store for you in the future. We know you will achieve great things at Viterbo University. Even though La Crosse, Wisconsin is a long way from home, we will be there to watch you pitch. We love you.

Brian and Susan Taylor

Eric's favorite memory was junior year prom spending the day with his friends, going to the dance, and having a night just to go out and do whatever after.

Words of Wisdom: Working hard in high school pays off. It may seem pointless when you're doing the work, but it makes things easier later on.

Eric plans to study engineering and play baseball at Viterbo University.

Jackson Levanen

Dear Jackson,

The years have flown by so quickly. And although we raised you to spread your wings and fly, we never expected this day to come so soon.

When we stand next to you, we find ourselves looking up at you, both literally and figuratively. You are a smart, strong and capable young man, and you will forge ahead in whatever direction you work at in life.

May God continue to bless, guide and keep you! We love you, son.

Mom and Dad with your siblings

Camden McArthur

Dear Camden,

From the minute we met you in December 2001, you have been brightening our days. There aren't enough words in the world to express how proud we are to be your parents. In kindergarten on our first parent/teacher conference we heard "your son is a bit of a class clown", and that theme seemed to follow you through. However, when you set your mind to something your persona looks a little different. By junior high and high school your coaches were telling us "Camden may be the most coachable kid I've ever worked with". Wow what? That class clown is the same kid that might be the most coachable? What an incredible combination for a personality. You're willing to work hard when you need to and you're going to figure out how to make it fun! We continue to watch with amazement and can't wait to see which doors will open for you. We are and will always be your biggest fans. Love, mom and dad

Haydon Mullinax

Haydon,

Until now you were recognized by the world as our son. Now's the time when we will be known as the parents of yours.

We are so proud of you... Remember always how much you are loved.

Love, Mom and Dad

Alexis Morgareidge

Alexis encourages the underclassmen to stick to what you know because what you know got you to where you're at and where you will go in life.

Mrs. Lecholat has had the greatest impact on Alexis throughout her high school career. She is the only teacher I have been with all four years of high school and I have learned so much from her from how to work hard and dedication to putting in all my effort into what I want to do because as long as I know where I want to go and what I want to do and what my goals are then I will be able to accomplish them if I work hard and don’t give up.

Alexis plans on attending Sheridan college for Animal Science, Farrier Science and Ag Business

Mollie Morris

Dear Mollie, We are so proud of the daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, student and athlete you have become. Your grit, determination and pure selflessness have gotten you through multiple obstacles thus far, and will only take you further in life. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. You will do amazing things and we will be your biggest fans! I feel so blessed to be your mom. - Julie & Robert Morris

Creating relationships with so many teachers and other students every year and seeing friends everyday have been Mollie's fondest high school memories.

Mollie's advice to underclassmen includes: Don't take your time in high school for granted. Get involved in everything you can, go to all the events the school puts on, and enjoy it. You will never be able to go back to high school when it's over, so make it worth your while.

Mollie plans to attend Sheridan College and pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.

Addison Noble

Addison's fondest high school memories include: being able to go to lunch with everyone I care about or having my first day of class.

Addison stresses to the underclassmen to put in the effort and don't be lazy.

Someone who has had an impact on Addison during high school is: Mrs. Travis, she shows how much she cares and she is so special and giving.

Addison plans on either attending Western Governor's College or Sheridan College to pursue a degree in computer science after high school.

Ethan O'Leary

Ethan's fondest high school memories include running track and playing football.

Respect all of your teachers and do all your work are Ethan's words of wisdom for the underclassmen and upcoming Sheridan Broncs.

Mrs. Grutkowski had the greatest impact on Ethan in high school.

Ethan plans on joining the army after he graduates high school.

Kaleigh Padgett

Kaleigh's fondest high school memories... Oh my, there's so many to choose from. I have had so many amazing experiences in my high school career. Between the days that I got to spend with all of my closest girlfriends to the football/basketball games that I got to spend with my trombone children, I was happiest when I was with the people that truly care about me. Also, getting to go to Portland, Oregon for All Northwest band was pretty cool too.

The teacher who has had the greatest impact on Kaleigh: Mrs. Crowe has had the biggest impact on me. While she may not be a teacher at the high school anymore, she is still very actively involved in helping each kid learn and grow. She has been a huge supporter of me for as long as I have known her and I appreciate her so much.

I am going to attend the University of Wyoming to get a degree in Psychology and later down the road taking all the steps to become a Psychiatrist.

Okley Perry

My fondest high school memory is attending the FFA Christmas party because everyone had fun and everyone felt like they belonged there.

Okley's advice to the underclassmen: Be yourself because everything is better when you are, you won't feel as weighed down and there is a lot less pressure.

Okley plans to attend Sheridan College and transfer to a university in Texas for a degree in veterinarian medicine.

James Smith

Fondest Memory: Hanging out with friends

Words of Wisdom: Find yourself

Chloe Schilling

Miss Chloe,

Since the day you were born you have been a kind and gentle soul. You have made your way through childhood and adolescence with a dignity and grace that we have admired. May these qualities follow you through the rest of your years.

Love you dearly,

Dad and Mom

My fondest high school memory is spirit weeks and how much effort people put into the dress-up days.

My advice to underclassmen is communication is key. So don’t be afraid to reach out if you have a question, the teachers really appreciate questions!

Chloe plans to attend Sheridan College where she will complete her generals and major in Dance. After Sheridan, she will attend Black Hills State University for Secondary Education - English.

Steven "Tyler" Shurter

My biggest and greatest accomplishment is my survival and ability to graduate in 2020! I have the amazing gift to know a hot chick is present even with blind eyes. I have scored a major scholarship from "The School of Dancing On My Own". Some of my teachers believe I should receive the award for "Best Laugh" and "Greatest Blue Eyes" but I haven't received either of those yet!!

My fondest high school memory would be attending the 2019 Stars of the Big Horns Prom. It was great music, friends, food and laughter!! I had a blast!!

Words of Wisdom: Enjoy every minute because from what I hear you'll always look back on these years and wish you could relive some of your greatest memories.

If I had my way after graduation I would live at home forever and not have to do the adult with responsibilities thing. Unfortunately, my mom and dad are going to work on kicking me out of the house in the next two to five years! My next big step in life will be to transition to being on my own. Hopefully by then I will have found a hot chick to come and take care of me. I look forward to the new adventures that will be coming my way and continue to conquer all of life's curve balls and if all else fails just keep L-I-V-I-N!!

David Wold

Congratulations on your graduation, David!!! We're so proud of you, and celebrate not only your many and varied accomplishments, but also the thoughtful, interesting, and fun person you are today. Even though COVID-19 has changed the course of your senior year, you have adapted with grace, and good humor. Again, congratulations! We're looking forward to what comes next for you.

All our love,

Mom and Dad

Rebecca Brugiafreddo

Who would have known that we would have been so lucky to add you to our family (even if for only 9 months)? We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with you as our Italian daughter. Your laughter, your determination, your ability to live life to the fullest and the way you embrace life are all positive traits that will take you far in life! We are excited about your future and look forward to a friendship that will last a life time ! Much love from your American Mom and Dad.

Jeff and Paula Bowie

Johnnie Zukowski

Johnnie's fondest memory is meeting all of her friends and teachers and also soccer season.

Johnnie lettered in soccer for 2 years and lettered in swimming and diving 1 year.

Words of wisdom: enjoy what you have now because it might all be gone tomorrow.

Johnnie plans to go to Sheridan College and pursue a degree in dental hygiene.

Samantha Phillips

Samie's advice to the underclassmen: Take the chances you have for you never know where that will take you. There will be plenty of mistakes from said chances but learn from them and grow. Be the person you want to be and remember to be kind. There is always time to be kind no matter how busy the world may seem.

Teachers and staff who have had the greatest impact on Samie include: I have a few that have made an impact. Mr. Daniels who i had as a sophomore for precalculus, he not only made sure we were doing well in his class but ensured we would be better people. Mr. McEwen has been my track coach for the last 4 years. During my time with him as a coach, I learned how to be a better leader, and to step up when need be. Lastly a person that has had an impact on me has been Mrs Travis. She has allowed me to grow as a person and try schedules that probably should have been stopped before even began, but this allowed me to learn lessons that I would not have learned otherwise. One such lesson was how far I can push myself.

Samie plans to study at Milwaukee School of Engineering for biomedical engineering and computer ccience. Also participate in track and field at the college level.

Brandon Ramsey

Brandon's advice to the underclassmen: it gets easier!

His fondest high school memories include every Sheridan Bronc game.

Mrs. Ferguson has helped complete my career by providing support and understanding.

Brandon plans on attending Sheridan College

Rikki Redman

Since freshman year I have made so many friends and memories. However, being in Spectrum, it has brought so much to the table for me. Everyone in that class is full of energy and positivity, creating the best memories like that of learning funny choreography or more complicated things like Pentatonix songs. When we learned White Winter Hymnal, the music itself was simple, but the accompanying hand percussion is what really threw us for a loop. All of us sitting in a line trying to clap correctly really made for some hilarious moments and team bonding as a choir, making it my fondest high school memory.

Rikki's advice to future Broncs: Don't take coming to school for granted. I guarantee you'll miss seeing your friends and teachers everyday, as well as the opportunities and memories you'll have in that building.

After graduation I am in hopes of attending Sheridan College for two years followed by another two at the University of Queensland in Australia. I am wanting to pursue zoology and/or green criminology.

Josiah Richards

Josiah's accomplishments include: National Merit Scholarship, University of Wyoming's Trustees Scholars' Award, Academic Gold Honors (Grades 9-12), All-State Music (Grades 11-12), Most Improved Percussionist (Grade 10)

Josiah's fondest high school memories: Playing on the drumline for the State Football playoffs, and eventually going down to Laramie for the state championship (being fortunate enough to go all four years of high school) has definitely been one of the things I've enjoyed most in high school. As a freshman, I had no interest in football and was too new to pep band to truly enjoy it, but now, as a senior, my interest in both has increased immensely due to the opportunity I had to experience so much of it. Drumline has even become something I plan to continue through college, where I hope to play tenors in UW's Western Thunder Marching Band.

Josiah plans on attending the University of Wyoming where he will pursue a degree in Computer Engineering

DayAnna Godwin

Don’t forget to have a little fun too. We love you!

Mom and Dad

Kairstyn's Favorite Memory: My favorite part of high school is the football season. I loved going to games and watching the team play at the state championships each year.

Words of Wisdom: Get involved. High school is so much more fun when you join groups with people who have similar interests. Schoolwork is important, but it's no fun when that's all you focus on.

Kairstyn plans on attending the University of Wyoming to pursue a degree in Pharmacy

Toby Jacobs

Toby - You are so determined to be successful at everything you do, whether it’s school or sports or even a fun game of farkle. We’re so incredibly proud of you and how hard you work. You have accomplished so much and we’re so excited to see what’s in store for you in the future. We’re so proud that you stand strong in your beliefs and don’t sway based on what anyone else thinks. You are true to yourself and that is an extraordinary trait to have and we pray you will continue to do that. And some great advise from Ellen DeGeneres: “Follow your passion. Stay true to yourself. Never follow someone else’s path, unless you’re in the woods and you’re lost and you see a path. By all means, you should follow that.”

Love, Mom & Dad

Wades plans to attend Sheridan College where he will play for the Men's Soccer team

Dad

Shane Karajanis

Shane,
Son, I love you and can only wish that time could have gone by so much slower. Watching you grow up and seeing you mature these last 18 years has given me so much pleasure, happiness, and pride in every step of the way. I know that you won’t understand that until you have a child of your own, but you have shown so much grit and determination with all you have done. I’ve watched these last couple years and saw your competitive drive get stronger, but you still have that compassionate and humble spirit which warms my heart.
After the start of this year though, reality hit me square in the face when I realized this was your last year in high school. I thought to myself, wait I haven’t taught you everything I need to, and how am I going to teach you everything in these last months before you’re done? But, it made me step back and realize that where I used to see a young boy standing, I now see an incredible young man standing in your shoes. The challenges you have encountered along the way and how you have chosen to take them on have prepared you for your next journey in life.
My wish for you son is that you open your eyes to the beauty of the world and you go after what you want in life. Dream big so that you have no regrets. Take things head on and never back down from a challenge because that is how we, as humans, grow and become better. Take time to make your choices and choose with your heart; never make a life changing decision when you are mad. Remember the people who love you and always try and do right by them. You have such a great smile, so use it. Make people smile and show them the kindness in your heart. Allow yourself to accept others’ imperfections as well as yours. Try hard and work hard at everything you do.
Just remember that I might not be right there next to you, but I am cheering for you and am always just a phone call away. My love for you is endless, and I’m full of pride. Take on the world and carve your piece out, but take time to love and cherish all there is and what means the most to you. Most of all, believe in yourself son because you can do anything you put you mind to!Love Dad!
Shane has committed the the CSU-Pueblo track team where he will study Physical Education

Taylor Katschke

Taylor--The world is in commotion and things are not turning out how we would have hoped this Spring. Through it all you have kept a smile on your face and brought joy and laughter to our home. What really matters is still there--Your love of Life, Family, God, and Service. As you continue to make these your focus in life--you will be able to weather whatever storms life throws at you!! I am so proud of the man you are becoming and am so excited to see you embrace the journey ahead of you:)

All my love, Mom

Taylor, Congratulations Pal! What a year to finish your high school career. You have really become the young man that we hoped you would be. Your attitude change this year proved that you can characterize yourself however you want. You have become a brother that your sisters love and seek attention from. You care and you share your time with us. Thank you for leading our family spiritually as well. You get up very early to attend seminary. You reach out to others and encourage them to be included and include others. I'm gonna miss my hunting buddy, my woodworking partner, my quick-witted vocabulary inspector and most of all my son! Keep going and keep growing.

Love you Taylor,

Dad

Taylor plans to serve a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, after which he will attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah to study English.

Gage Kirchner

We've always called you our little peanut M&M.... inside that crusty shell you've got the sweetest, softest heart! And our favorite part...that touch of nuttiness!! :) You used to crawl up on my lap and ask to "talk about Jesus", and when we did, your blue eyes would light up. Your blue eyes still light up when we talk about Jesus and when He encounters you in a special way. You have everything you need to be successful in life! You have a mighty Helper, an understanding Counselor, a powerful Intercessor and Wisdom & Knowledge in all things. "John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." Follow Jesus and you CANNOT go wrong. We love you SO much and are so thankful God gave you to us. You are a blessing beyond measure!

Scott & Christy Kirschner

Ethan Kutz

Ethan,

Like many parents, we have been amazed at how quickly the high school years have gone by. You have grown literally and figuratively and we are excited to see where your future takes you.

We were also pleased at how you carefully crafted your extracurricular interests to benefit your academic learning. There was “Age of Empires” to keep your love of history, culture and foreign languages alive. “Forza” to help get a feel for the wheel as you learned to drive. First person shooter games gave an arena to practice mathematics, chemistry, physics and health as you counted ammo, calculated trajectories, placed explosives and administered first aid. Let’s not forget our gratitude to “Battlefront” for constant reminders of the beautiful french horn melodies of the Star Wars theme songs. Music makes a well rounded citizen.

As you take your next steps into college, we encourage you to pursue your love of tennis, to explore a career suited to your strategic mind and to let your Christian faith guide you through it all.

Love,

Dad and Mom

Slyvia Brown

Sylvia is a talented athlete and student. She lettered in academics, cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. All-Conference in cross country.

Sylvia's most inspirational teachers were; Art Baures, Taylor Kelting and Isaac VanDyke because they have all really impacted me through coaching. They helped me through different challenges and always encouraged me to work hard and have a positive outlook.

Sylvia's advice to incoming freshmen; High school goes by really fast so don't take your time there for granted.

Sylvia plans on going to Black Hills State next year to study Exercise Science as well as continue running cross country and track.

Seth Deutscher

Seth earned the Community Service Award (FBLA), and attended Nationals in FBLA 2x,

Seth's fondest memory of high school was getting kicked out of weights class.

Mrs. Coulter helped motivate me to keep going this final year, also she helped me set up my future.

Best advice for freshmen; I would say to just be yourself and don't be afraid of a challenge. Challenges make you grow more than anything else and competing against someone else or even yourself can bring out the best in you. Don't back down from competition and even if you don't "win" you will always grow.

Jacob plan to attend Indiana Wesleyan University to play baseball and study finance

Aidan's advice for future SHS Broncs: Be social, and get along with everyone as best you can.

The person who has had the greatest impact on Aidan while in high school: Mrs. Schroder because she doesn’t force us to do work, but she does recommend it. She lets us figure out the rights and wrongs so we don’t make the same mistakes over again.

Aidan plans on joining the United States Marine Corps after graduation.

Delores Ebbert

High School Accomplishments:

I have really come out of my shell since I moved to Sheridan. I moved here from California in the 8th grade and since then I've gained a lot of friends not only with the students but also with my teachers. I feel like a lot of people will argue "coming out of your shell isn't an accomplishment" or "You can't be friends with your teachers". But the truth is you CAN be friends with your teachers, I did, I actually bonded a lot my junior year with Coach/History Rizer and if you're ever going through a hard time and don't want to talk to a counselor or your parents go to him. He may look all big and scary but he's actually really nice and will always be there for you whether you're still his student or not. To this day he still checks up on me and asks how i'm doing. Also, coming out of your shell is a big accomplishment don't let anyone tell you different.

Delores plans on either enlisting in the military or going to Sheridan College to study Nursing after graduation

Jack Erramouspe

Advice to Underclassmen:

The only words of advice I have for the underclassmen and future Sheridan High School Broncs is that high school is a place of growth. The amount that you grow as an individual is astonishing. You learn how to become your own person and learn what you like most about yourself. Whether it's how hard you bounce back from a bad test score, or how good it feels to finally get over your 2-month relationship with the significant other you were positive you were going to marry. (No, I didn't do this. But, you'd be surprised how many students do.) High School is a very important part of life, so enjoy it. It goes by quick so don't take this time for granted. My class and I had our last semester of high school taken from us due to COVID-19. You never know what life will throw at you, so enjoy every moment and walk through high school with a smile on your face.

Staff with the Greatest Impact:

The staff that has had the greatest impact on me was the math teachers at SHS. Lonna Forister, Elizabeth Swager, and Timothy Daniels. I honestly don't know what it is about math teachers but, they're the best. And that's coming from someone who's least favorite subject, is math. These teachers fully support their students and want them to succeed. They all have very fun attitudes and can make their classes very entertaining. But do not be mistaken, the expectations of their classrooms are very high. They do not baby any students. They expect you to do the work provided in class and expect you to be an upright student as well. They have helped me through many of my math problems but also were there in times of stress and incertitude. Each of them are a spitting image of what it means to be an amazing teacher.

Jack plans of studying Psychology after graduation

Jezteen Garwood

Favorite Memory:

Once at a formal my freshman year, all of us freshman got in a giant circle linking arms and sang “We Are Young” by Fun. And that was a very heartwarming moment.

Advice to Underclassmen:

Sometimes it feels like high school will never ever end. And then it ends and you wish you did more bold and courageous things. So don't let anyone tell you to be someone your not. And even if you’re very very weird, embrace that. We’re all a little weird.

Staff with the Greatest Impact:

Mrs. Reed was a very inspiring teacher and I will always appreciate her love of books and fun outfits.

JeZteen Plans to attend Sheridan College and transfer to the University of Wyoming after obtaining her associates degree. Eventually she would like to enroll in a Veterinarian School.

Staff with the Greatest Impact:

Coach Kevin Rizer, he coached me for three years in football and gave me opportunities to redeem myself even when I didn't think I deserved it. He taught me about how to own up to what you do wrong and fix the problems you make. Coach Rizer made me a better man and I am extremely thankful for everything he does for me and everyone around him.

Ethan plans to attend Sheridan College and transfer to the University of Wyoming after earning his associates degree. Eventually Ethan plans on enrolling in medical school.

Maggie plans on attending either USC or Columbia University.

Kaeli Schiff

Kaeli's fondest memories are the musicals. It was an amazing opportunity to be able to collaborate with her friends and bring the community together and make them laugh.

Words of wisdom to underclassmen: Don't ever, ever, get behind in your classes because once you do, it's a never-ending hole that you're trying to get out of. But also make sure that you spend time with those that you love. Whatever plans you have for after high school will most likely separate you and it'll be good to have fond memories while you're doing your thing. It's cliche, but time goes by fast, so make the most of it.

Kaeli plans on going into the military, steered more towards the Air Force, and get into a job that she loves and can continue on after leaving the branch.

Madison Smith

Fondest memory: During my junior year me and a few of my friends went to wrap the cop car for Christmas. We had tons of photos and it was lots of fun to look back on today.

Words of wisdom: GET INVOLVED WITH YOUR SCHOOL!! Don't just go through your classes and go about your day. Get involved with extra curricular activities, meet new people. It's definitely worth it.

Mr. Sarkissian has really made an impact on my life since 6th grade. It was him who helped me blossom as an amazing violin student and student overall. His words of wisdom will never leave my mind as I go off to live my life. Words cannot express how grateful I am for all he's done for me.

Madison plans to further her education and to go into forensic pathology as well as forensic anthropology.

Joel Sayer

Joels' fondest memory is winning state football senior year.

Joel's words of wisdom: High school goes by fast. Enjoy everything while it last because it won't last forever.

All teachers have had a huge impact on me. Some have been around me more than others, but each teacher has left me with something.

Joel plans to attend Sheridan College to obtain a business degree.

Anna Switzenberg

Anna, I remember your first day of school. I was so scared because you were so quiet and shy. You have shown me that you have a quiet strength. I am no longer fearful, but excited for all your future adventures, wherever they may take you. We love you and are so proud of you!

Mom, Dad, Hallie, and Marley

My fondest memories are student sections and participating in track.

Advice to underclassmen: Take it all in and don’t wish any of it way. Don’t worry what anyone thinks, you do you- always.

Mrs. Harman had the biggest impact on me. She was there for me in and out of the classroom.

Anna plans to attend the University of Wyoming.

Michael Anderson

Michael's most influential teachers were; I had so many, I could say three in general. Mr Daniels, Mrs Knutson and Mr. (coach) Baures. All have taught me hard work in music, schoolwork, running, and in life. I will miss them and all of my teachers a lot. I hope many have had the chance to be taught by them.

Advice to incoming freshmen: Don’t stress too much. High school is important, but the work and grades aren’t as important as the people you meet and the memories you make. Balance your time for schoolwork with the time for fun and stress relieving activities.

Michael plans to go to college for a semester or a year, then serve a mission for my church and continue my college education after.

Ryan Bybee

My fondest high school memory would probably be the time I spent in Mrs.Parish's classroom. Somehow 5 out of 8 friends were in the same classroom. I had an amazing time with my friends in Mrs.Parish's classroom. My friend Stephen would sometimes get a milk cartoon and draw a face on it. When he was sitting next to me he would take the milk cartoon and move the flaps back and forth to simulate the milk cartoon talking. He would then tell me" Father! Father! Why did you abandon me, Do you love me Father?" The other memorable part about Mrs.Parish's was Calen's hand turkey. We were suppose to graph a turkey by using equations to find the slope of the lines. Calen said "Screw it" and drew a hand turkey instead. Mrs.Parish then took the hand turkey and hung it up on her board.

Ryan's advice to incoming freshmen: Structure is really important to have, don't overwhelm yourself or underwhelm yourself. Find that sweet spot where everything is just alright.

Ryan will attend college in the fall

Elizabeth Romanjenko

My fondest memory would be State outdoor track when we had to go get a sweatshirt that was left at the stadium.

My advice to underclassmen would be to be kind in your words and actions.

The staff member that had the most impact would be Mr. Daniels because he had a great attitude and he is very easy to talk to. He taught me to work hard and made me truly believe that when you ask for help you will receive it, if you have been putting the effort in.

Lizzy plans to go to Sheridan college and study Human Services.

Claire Schnatterbeck

My fondest high school memory was participating in the fall play She Kills Monsters. As the only senior in the show I got to connect with the underclassmen and share my love of theater while also sharing an important message.

Mr. Sarkissian has had the greatest impact on me because he has taught me the importance of perseverance and hard work. He teaches us to not only be great instrumentalists, but great people.

Claire will be attending Columbia University in New York City to study political science.

Olivia Chase

My fondest high school memory was going on orchestra All-State trips.

Mr. Sarkissian has had the greatest impact on me because throughout junior high and high school he has pushed me to do my best in all aspects of life.

Olivia plans on attending the University of Wyoming in the fall to major in Biology.
