2024-2025 Professional Development Requirements:

Bullying: two hours and every fifth year thereafter

*At this time, the Professional Development Rules are under review. Please check this link if you have an questions or feel free to reach out to us at the co-op.

Other Professional Development Requirements:

Human Trafficking: beginning in 2018-19, and each year thereafter, a school district shall make available to licensed personnel thirty (30) minutes of professional development on recognizing and reporting human trafficking
Athletic Coaches: at least once every three (3) years, training in recognition and management regarding events or conditions* that may be encountered by a student during athletic training and physical activities
Administrators: annual professional development in data disaggregation, instructional leadership and fiscal management*
School Counselors: Per Act 620 and 648, school counselors are required to receive "mental health first aid by September 1, 2024 and every four years thereafter. "

We have a plethora of offerings this summer and are excited to work with the teachers and administrators of our schools. At the top, you will see tabs. To see the professional development offerings for administrators, K-12 certified staff, and Para Professionals click the corresponding tab. Once the tab is opened, you will see the offerings listed by content/certification area. By clicking on the date, you will be directed to the ESCworks calendar for registration.

Please note that while the pd sessions are divided by content/certification, we encourage you to look through the entire list and/or calendar of sessions to find appropriate sessions for your professional development. Some sessions are duplicated in the list due to its appropriateness to multiple areas. As for Instructional Facilitators, we encourage you to attend any of the sessions related to the content you facilitate.
